Fairview Church of Christ
All we offer is "Uncomplicated Christianity!"
Sometimes Less is More!
That's right. We believe sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to serving God. The church we read of in the Bible was very simple in it's beginning and was never intended to become a complicated organization. In it's beginning, the church was made up of men and women, Christians, who shared a spiritual relationship, into which they entered by means of baptism. The church we read of in the Bible was not complicated by creeds, governing boards, institutions, social clubs or other modern additions. Rather, the New Testament church, both as individual Christians and as a congregation of Christians, looked to Christ as their head and the teachings of the apostles as their rule of faith. That was all!
The New Testament pattern of worship is followed with the First Century Church as our example. We sing, pray, teach, commune and give of our means as God has prospered us. No Visitor is coerced at any time, in any way.
The singing is congregational without the aid of instrumental music. All are invited to sing; 1 Cor. 14:15. It is soul stirring and spiritually uplifting to sing praises to our God and Savior.
Prayers are offered without display. It is simple prayer, audibly spoken by one man as others silently pray along with him. Our prayers are from the heart, not from a book. continue...
The Son Is In My EyesWhile driving home from church in Atlanta, the sun was in just the right place, for the visor to be ineffective. Man was it bright! Trying to find a way for me to see the road, but avoid the sun made me consider my relationship with God's son.
It didn't matter if i bowed my head. It didn't matter if i turned my head to the left, or right. It didn't even matter if i held my hand up to block those shining rays. Nothing was going to keep the sun from my eyes!
By contrast, God's son is the same. Whether we want to accept it or not, we cannot avoid him.

An Ambulance Prayer
The smells of my Mexican restaurant wafted in the air, making my mouth water with anticipation of the sumptuous fare soon to be sitting in front of my face. I was with three others and we were carrying on,laughing at our homemade jokes and the various personalities that were in the restaurant with us. We were giddy with excitement, for we do not go out to eat very often. Some would would call me thrifty and to be honest I don't care. The times that I do choose to spend my hard earned money, I enjoy it to it's full potential. continue...

Cold, Darkness & Evil
According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every substance, whether a body or an object; is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy. Heat is what allows matter to have, or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-459.67º F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel when heat starts to disappear.
